Introduction to Power boating -


Assumed Knowledge: No previous knowledge required
Description: This course provides a practical introduction to powerboats and is ideal for anyone who is new to powerboating or who will be crewing a powerboat.
Content:  Safety, Rope work, Manoeuvring, Parts and names ,Gear, Weather and Tides


Ability After Course: You will be able to safely and effectively crew a powerboat and take the helm while under supervision.
Duration: 1 Day
Minimum Age: 16

National Powerboat Certificate  -

Description: The “driving licence” of powerboating. This course provides all of the skills and knowledge required by anyone taking charge of a powerboat.
Content: Boat preparation, launch & recovery, low & high speed manoeuvres, anchoring & docking, basic navigation, weather & coastal knowledge, safety.
Ability After Course: You will be competent to take charge of an open powerboat by day on inland and coastal waters with which you are familiar.
Duration: 2 Days
Minimum Age: 16
